Mississippi Airports Map
Mississippi is surrounded by three navigable waterways: The Mississippi River to the west, The Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway to the east and the Gulf of Mexico to the south: nearly 800 miles of commercially navigable waterways. Major Mississippi River ports are located in Natchez, Vicksburg, Greenville and Rosedale.
Smaller ports are at Yazoo City and Greenwood on the Yazoo River, which joins the Mississippi River at Vicksburg. The Tennessee-Tombigbee Inland Waterway is a 234-mile system of canals and locks along the Tombigbee River in northeast Mississippi. The Gulf Intercoastal Waterway stretches from Florida to Texas, with barge facilities available at Pascagoula, Biloxi, Gulfport and Port Bienville. Two deepwater ports are located at Pascagoula and Gulfport. Pascagoula provides the largest industrial port in the State. The Mississippi State Port at Gulfport is a state-owned port with 36-foot depth.
