Common Drive Times

To help you plan your shoot, consider these drive times between various areas of the state. Our office can help you consolidate shooting locations to make your production as smooth as possible.

Each region offers its own distinct atmosphere, aura and landscape to lend to your production.

Hills

In addition to rolling hills and secluded lakes, northern Mississippi features an interesting blend of picturesque town squares and bustling small cities. Holly Springs offers approximately 90 antebellum homes and the largest town square in the state.

Delta

The Delta features vast farmlands, including acres of white cotton, hundreds of catfish ponds and a variety of agricultural communities. This region is recognized worldwide as the birthplace of the blues. Greenville, Clarksdale, Carrollton and Greenwood are the historical jewels of the region, with a rich heritage that embraces music, literature and agriculture.

Pines

Mississippi’s eastern-central pines feature a variety of locations, from unspoiled wilderness settings to modern cities. Antebellum and Victorian homes, the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway and abundant lakes, streams and swamps are all found in Columbus.

Capital/River

Mississippi’s capital/river region, stretching from the modern skyline of the state’s capital to the Mississippi River, is rich in history. Jackson features a rich blend of contemporary modern architecture intermingled with the State Capitol Building (1903), Jackson City Hall (1846) and Old Capitol Museum (1840).

Coastal

Mississippi’s Coast features 26 miles of sparkling white sand beaches, five pristine barrier islands, Vietnamese, Chinese and Yugoslavian settlements, a NASA complex and one of the largest shipbuilding facilities in the United States — all along the sparkling waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
