Our Mission
Film Mississippi is part of the Mississippi Development Authority, the state’s economic development agency. Established in 1973, it is one of the oldest film offices in the world. Its mission is to foster the growth of the film industry in Mississippi, connect filmmakers with necessary resources and to cultivate and promote filmmaking by, for and about Mississippians.
