Storyline: In the early 2000’s in Jacksonville, Florida, Bryan Bruton catches a 10-year prison sentence for a crime he never intended to commit. In this unbelievable true story, we follow Bryan as he navigates his way through the Florida prison system. The “Wolf Of Wall Street” of prison stories.
[MAC] Male, any ethnicity, 50s-60s. A permanent inmate who is comfortable in his routine; considerate to those who deserve it.
[FAT VERN] Male, White, 30s-40s. An out of shape, racist, good ol’ boy corrections officer.
[YOUNGER CRYSTAL] Female, appearing about age 9, familial resemblance to SIENNA and OLDER CRYSTAL. Mom is White and Dad is Mediterranean in look (think Italian, Spanish, Lebanese, Syrian, etc), so she should look like a mix of her parents.
[OLDER CRYSTAL] Female, appears at ages 13, 17, and 20, familial resemblance to SIENNA and YOUNGER CRYSTAL. Mom is White and Dad is Mediterranean in look (think Italian, Spanish, Lebanese, Syrian, etc.) Edgy, anxiety-riddled, with intelligence beyond her years. Open to teens or legal adult who can read younger.
[JAMAL] Male, Black or Latino, 20s. A charming, charismatic guy who writes poetry and can dance, as well as play chess, piano and poker.
[REPO] Male, Black or Latino, 40s. Straight up killer. Gangster. He gets what he wants and has the crew and scars to back it up.
[MATT – THE BOYFRIEND] Male, White, 20s. Drinking at a dive with his girlfriend and brother.
[HEAD OF CLASSIFICATION] Female, any ethnicity, 40s-50s. A strong-minded, professional woman who decides prisoners’ privileges. Films in Bay St. Louis, MS.
[FSP ASSISTANT WARDEN] Male or Female, any ethnicity, 30s-40s. Questions BRYAN to gauge remorse. Films in Bay St. Louis, MS.
[OFFICER NASH] Male, any ethnicity; 30-40s. Has a familiar banter with BRYAN; knows Bryan’s a crook, but just hasn’t caught him yet.
[RICHIE] Male, 20s, familial match to ELANA (Mediterranean look; dark hair and eyes). Hat-&-hoodie wearing-type-of-guy who likes to drink and thinks he’s harder than he probably is.
[ELANA’S MOM] Female, 40-50, familial match to ELANA (Mediterranean look; dark hair and eyes). Likes to party, quite humorous while bantering with her bratty teenage daughter.
[ASSISTANT DEBBIE] Female, any ethnicity, 40s-60s. Professional, secretary to the warden, a woman of faith.
[VERO] Female, late teens/early 20s, familial match to BRYAN (Mediterranean look; dark hair and eyes). Born and raised lower class in Jacksonville, Florida. MUST BE LEGAL 18. NO MINORS.
[UNCLE BOB] Male, 60s, familial match to ELANA (Mediterranean look; dark hair and eyes). Drunk, sloppy, on a bender. Appears shirtless, has a gut.
